Zuiver Group gets new sustainable distribution centre in cooperation with Fiege

At this moment, the order of Zuiver Group (about 90,000 per year) are still shipped from three different Fiege locations. With the arrival of the new DC, the orders of Zuiver Group will all be sent from one location. This will result in significant efficiency improvements for both companies and a reduction in traffic between the various locations.

The new location of the DC is at the 'HoogTij' industrial estate in Zaandam. That is just a couple of steps away from Zuiver Group's head office. It will be 43,000 square metres in size and built entirely in accordance with the highest Breeam Excellent certification. This ensures that the coming of the DC will have minimal impact on the surroundings and the environment. For example, the entire roof will be fitted with solar panels, rainwater will be collected for facility purposes, the complex will be fully equipped with LED and movement sensors, and there will be plenty of parking spots for electric cars and bicycles. This was a requirement of Zuiver Group, because they are working on its sustainability mission in which the ecological footprint is minimised.

With the arrival of the new DC, Fiege and Zuiver Group enter the next phase of cooperation. This cooperation has been a successful basis for the growth of both companies since 2012. The new DC will be completed in the third quarter of this year.
